Garibaldi Springs is one of B.C.'s newest golf courses. Garibaldi Springs is the realization of Sid Brickman's vision for the property. Mr. Brickman has been working on this project for more than 10 years and with his partners he has put together a complete golf resort and residential development. The project includes two residential developments, a resort hotel and golf course. Mr. Brickman and his partners also control the lands that are being developed for the Alpenlofts a new mixed retail/residential developments on Tantalus Road. Mr. Brickman is also rezoning 10 lots near the 14th hole for single family homes and this will go before council April 3, 2007.
Garibaldi Springs was designed by Les Furber. Les Furber has designed over 70 golf courses and remodeled even more. Les Furber's design philosophy is that golf strategy and shot values are paramount. He maintains a strong balance between playability and challenge; playable but not penal, challenging but not intimidating. Les' design approach is innovative, visionary and with today's ever changing ecological regulations, in tune environmentally.
The course first opened in August of 2004 with the front 9 only, and the back 9 opened in September of 2004. Located on the golf course, all new Executive Suites Garibaldi Springs Golf Resort brings a sophisticated level of comfort to the Sea-to-sky corridor in Squamish B.C. The 111-room resort features suites with spectacular golf course views, flat screen televisions with DVD and kitchen/kitchenette with dining area.
