Take A Kid To The Course Week July 3-9
Garibaldi Springs is proud to be participating in the NGCOA's Take a Kid to the Course Week. From July 3-9 kids under 16 play free when accompanied by a paying adult. In addition a guest CPGA professional will be conducting a clinic for parents and kids on introducing your child to the game of golf.

"Tee- It Up" Junior Golf Camps
Garibaldi Springs is introducing the "Tee-It-Up" Junior Golf Program. Guest CPGA professional Tony Vogel will be conducting three camps this summer. Each camp is 4 - 2hr lessons on consecutive Monday afternoons from 4pm to 6pm. Each lesson will focus on a different skill.
Our June camp is sold out and the next start dates are: July 10th, and August 7th.
The cost for each camp is $99 + tax. Sign up early as these camps are already filling up.

The Perfect Ten Update
As mentioned in last months newsletter two of our marshals, Adam Risto and Stephane Proulx, set off Jun 17 on a cross Canada golf trip. Driving in Stephane's 1982 Porsche they played 10 courses in Ten Days in Ten Provinces. While Adam and Stephane completed the journey on June 26 at Clovelly Golf course in St John's Newfoundland, unfortunately the car didn't quite make it. 300 km from the end of the journey they hit a huge pothole and ripped the oil pan off the car. Undeterred Adam and Stephane had the car towed back to Gander, rented a new car and still made their tee time at Clovelly. Other stops along the way included Grewwolf, Silvertip, Dakota Dunes, Quarry Oaks, Crimson Ridge, Club de Golf de L'ile de Montreal, Kingswood, Crowbush Cove, Dundee Resort, and Clovelly.

Do you know your golf etiquette?
Care of the Course:

Holes in Bunkers: Before leaving a bunker a player should carefully fill up and smooth over all holes and footprints made by the player. |

Replace Divots; repair Ball Marks: Through the green, a player should ensure that any turf cut or displaced is replace at one and pressed down and that any damage to the putting green made by a ball is carefully repaired. |

Players should not damage the putting green by leaning on their putters particularly when removing the ball from the hole. |
| • |
Players should not use their putter to remove the ball from the hole as this damages the edge of the cup. |
| • |
In taking practice swings, players should avoid causing damage to the course, particularly the tees by removing divots. |
