Thanks for a great season

Well the end of the season is near, and weâ?Tll be shutting down as of Nov. 13, 2006. It been a great season, and the staff at Garibaldi Springs would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support this year.

Rounds of golf were up this year as were the number of people becoming season passholders. Weâ?Tve had a season filled with great times and great weather.

Our Mens, Ladies, and Mixed nights were a huge success with over 1000 people getting out for these events. Thanks a lot to our sponsors IGA Marketplace and John Stuart Sports for helping us out with these events.
The 2007 season will bring lots of changes around Garibaldi Springs.

The hotel is scheduled for completion in Sep 2007, and then we will be in the new clubhouse for the 2008 season. We will be introducing a new online booking system for the 2007 season, and weâ?Tre improving our website all the time.

Weâ?Tre introducing new season pass products for next year as well so there will be a pass that suits everyone.

Weâ?Tll keep in touch with you over the winter, and we look forward to seeing as many of you as we can before we close.

Weâ?Tll be opening in early March 2007, so have a good winter and weâ?Tll see you in a few months.

2007 Season passes

Weâ?Tve introduced a few new products for season passes so that everyone should be able to find a season pass that suits them. There really isnâ?Tt a better deal anywhere than a season pass at Garibaldi Springs, and after a season of playing at Garibaldi Springs you will become a better golfer. Weâ?Tve reduced the price of our Junior season passes, and weâ?Tve introduced a Corporate pass, an Adult Transferable pass and a Family pass for 2007. With all of our passes you can get an even better deal by buying your 2007 season pass before Dec.31, 2006.

Corporate Pass: This is a transferable pass that allows two people to come out and play at the same time, and it includes carts. This pass is transferable so it can be handed out to others in the company or clients to use. The pass must be presented at check-in.

After 01/01/07 - $2399.00

Adult Transferable Pass: This is an unrestricted transferable pass including cart for one person at a time to come out and play, but this pass is transferable so it can be handed out to others to use. The pass must be presented at check-in.
Before 12/31/06 - $1599.00
After 01/01/07 - $1799.00

Adult Pass: This is an unrestricted play pass including cart for one person.
Before 12/31/06 - $999.00
After 01/01/07 - $1199.00

Seniors Pass: This is an unrestricted play pass including cart for persons 65 and over
Before 12/31/06 - $799.00
After 01/01/07 - $999.00

Junior Pass: This is an unrestricted play pass for kids 16 and under. This pass does not include a cart.

After 01/01/07 - $499.00

Family Pass: This is an unrestricted play pass for families. It includes 2 adult season passes and as many junior passes as they need as long as the kids are their own.

Passholder Appreciation Day

On November 12 we will be holding a Passholder Appreciation Day. Weâ?Tll be playing 9 holes of golf starting at 1:00pm followed by a meal.

We hope to see as many of you out for this end of the season event as possible.

Thanksgiving Challenge wrap-up

What a great day we had for our 1st annual Thanksgiving Challenge. The weather was fantastic and with a full field of golfers it made for a fun day. Congratulations to our winning team of Dennis Woodard, Sean Jordan, Zed Dhalla, and Jeff Karran who posted a team score of 3 under par 61. No one managed to win the $25,000 hole in one prize but there were some exciting moments on the 17th hole with a couple of people getting close. We had over $5000 worth of prizes for everyone involved and Chef Eamon McCormickâ?Ts Thanksgiving turkey dinner was delicious.

A Special Thanks

I would like to take this opportunity to say a special thanks to Shane and Nicki Sanderson of IGA Marketplace for all of their support over the year. Unfortunately IGA is closing its doors and they will be sorely missed. Shane and Nicki are pillars of the community and proud supporters of many different events in Squamish.

We wish them all the best and success in whatever venture they decide to embark upon.
